Bye-Bye Emotional Eating!
Emotional eating is a dieting habit that can be controlled!
We've all been in that place of 'unhappy' or 'worried' where satisfaction can only be found in the food we consume. This dreadful habit can be triggered by anything really from stress to plain boredom. Don't fool yourself by justifying overeating as emotional eating. The latter is a means used to physically fill an emotional void and not just an empty stomach. Emotional eaters usually need to be satisfied instantly with their desired cravings. A series of steps can be followed to ensure you stay on track and don't go overboard (aka overeating).
1. Keep a food diary including the reason for consuming each meal e.g. stressed
2. Stock up on low-calorie meals.
3. Have a hot drink (e.g. green tea) before invading your fridge
4. Give yourself a few minutes to relax or get busy to rethink or distract your mind.
