Experts warn about the health issues that arise from smoking marijuana
Despite its legalization in some countries, marijuana is still considered a health hazard by experts. Whether smoked or eaten (usually in the form of brownies) on a regular basis, it can have detrimental long-term effects. Some of these effects are; a distorted perception of sound, time, touch and memory and learning problems.
On occasion, marijuana usage can lead to stress, fear, distrust and panic and excessive use can cause brain damage.
In addition, marijuana contains 50% more carcinogenic substances than normal tobacco therefore increasing the chances of lung cancer.
Experts of the medical field have stressed the health issues related to marijuana usage however a direct correlation between the two has never been established.
