Greek style beef souvlaki
Beef and vegetables seasoned with lemon, olive oil and oregano

Make yourself the world renowed Greek souvlaki. A delicious dish for Greek cuisine lovers and kids as well who love eating meat right off a stick. Beef is one of the meats you can use in a souvlaki recipe.

INGREDIENTS
500 g sirloin tip or round steaks, cut in large cubes
2 medium tomatoes, cut in pieces
or 8 cherry tomatoes
1 green bell pepper, cut in pieces
1 medium onion, sliced
1 teaspoon (Greek) oregano
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
8 skewers
PREPARATION
Rinse the pieces of meat thoroughly and drain for 15 minutes.
Mix the oregano, salt, pepper. 1 tablespoon olive oil and vinegar in a small bowl. Press the meat into the mixture from
both sides.

On each skewer alternate 5 pieces of meat with 4 pieces of vegetable. Arrange skewers in a platter cover and put in the refrigerator for 1 hour before cooking.

Mix 1 tablespoon olive oil with the lemon juice and brush each souvlaki before cooking. Broil or grill about 5 minutes, flipping it over once. Do not overcook.
