Can I Put My Kid On A Diet?
Why is obesity so common in children and teenagers and what can be done to overcome it?
Obesity is on the rise and health specialists across the globe are warning parents of its danger. The primary reason for the rise in obesity levels is the environment in which children grow up; inactivity, a sedentary lifestyle, availability/reach of high-calorie foods, a constant consumption of fast food and bad eating habits adopted from home. The core focus of the parent should be to stabilize and control their child’s weight (keeping in mind their height gain). Health specialists forbid you to use strict diets on your children and they recommend healthier eating choices and an increase in physical activity. The secret is to never use the word ‘not allowed’ but instead teach your child about healthy eating and following a balanced diet.
