Sugar and Deprivation - Busted!
Can I eat sugar? Should I remove certain food groups from my diet?
Since 1g sugar = 4 calories and 1g fat = 9 calories it's evident that avoiding fried food and butter will do you greater good, however that’s not to say that avoiding sugar (in your coffee for example) isn’t a good step to take too.

A diet plan is only effective when it consists of a balanced selection of foods. The only alterations in a diet should be the quantity and frequency of each meal. The word deprivation and the removal of a food group from your diet is a big no-no. Depriving yourself of certain foods will lead to detrimental long-term side-effects both to your health and your physique. Instead, we suggest eating fried foods, sweets and fatty foods in moderation so as to maintain a healthy and wholesome balanced diet.
