Therefore to provide a complete leg workout it is important to focus on the appropriate muscle groups using particular machinery and exercises such as heel raises, lunges and plies. These set of exercises can be done almost anywhere and is considered the perfect exercise for women and men alike. It has little impact on the joints which is a major concern for those who suffer from joint pain. Swimming and running is ideally suited for the elderly due to the nature of the activity. All leg exercises have cardio attributes and can raise the heart beat.
