Losing weight is an integral part of regaining fitness and vice versa. However, it doesn't happen all at once. Just as becoming unfit isn't something that happens overnight either. When working our way back towards getting fit we should first think about the unhealthy habits that we have built up in our lives throughout the years. Taking the car instead of walking, watching rather than being active... Try to identify one thing in your life that you could easily change. It could be anything for example taking the stairs to work instead of the lift or getting in the swimming pool with your kids rather than watching them. Always make small changes at a time, this way they will be easy to sustain and won't fly out the window whenever you are feeling pressured. As you become fitter your body will become more toned, with more energy and,in turn, you will increase your metabolic rate therefore burning up calories more efficiently!
